Welcome to Grasslands Ltd online, cultivating over 1,000 acres of prime land on Kent’s Romney Marsh, using the latest high-tech equipment. We hope that you will find all the information that you need to complete your purchase of our Rysport turf and topsoil together with many suggestions relating to the creation of your new lawn.
At Grasslands turf there is an option to collect your turf and topsoil from our base in New Romney, Kent.
Our Products
Grasslands Rysport Turf
Our flagship turf Rysport is grown on the fertile soils of the Romney Marsh using seed selected from the Sports Turf Research Institute’s list of highly rated cultivars. WEB
Topsoil
As recommended by the Turfgrass Growers Association (TGA), at least 100 mm of topsoil is required for healthy growth of grass. Where there is no subsoil, at least 300m2 of topsoil is required.

Concentrating entirely on producing top quality seed-grown turf for the landscape and domestic market. Grasslands Ltd has evolved into one of the largest turf growing enterprises in the UK.
Our flagship turf Rysport is grown on the fertile soils of the Romney Marsh, using seed selected from the Sports Turf Research Institute’s list of highly rated cultivars. Rysport’s hard wearing qualities make it an ideal product for the domestic garden. Rysport has featured on award winning gardens at The Chelsea Flower Show and can be seen at many high-profile attractions such as the Tower of London, The Brighton Pavilion and Kew Gardens to name a few.
For the larger turfing project Grassland Ltd produce Big Roll format turf (16m2) rolls. These requires specialist ground preparation & laying but can speed up the completion of your turfing project significantly. Should you be considering the Big Roll option please contact our office where our friendly team can advise you of Grassland’s specialist supply & lay service.

How it works
1. Use our turf calculator
Calculate how much turf you need by using our calculator. This will help you order the correct amount. All you need to know is the length and width and our calculator will do the rest.
2. Pay for your turf online
Once you have your price via the calculator or product page, complete your order and pay online once prompted. You will receive an order receipt to keep for your records.
3. We’ll deliver to your home
Once we receive your order you will be able to track the order with the reference we send you in your order confirmation email. This will allow you to see when your turf will be with you.
